Manage contracts

Edit, restart, terminate, or delete contracts and keep future generation aligned.

You can manage a contract after creation.

Open the contract from the overview, the customer, or the object.

Review contract details

Work orders

This tab shows the work orders already created from the contract.

Use it to review hours, items, and extra billing context.

Future work orders

This tab shows the upcoming planned work orders.

You can also click Generate now.

Notes

Use notes to share changes or internal contract details.

Hours and Costs

This tab totals the hours and items registered through contract work orders.

Use it to review the contract value during the agreement period.

Main contract actions

Edit

Use Edit to change the contract details or future work order setup.

Renew

Use Renew to renew the contract from the current date.

Terminate contract

Use Terminate contract to stop the agreement early.

Work orders that already exist stay at their current stage.

Refresh data contract

Use Refresh data contract when linked data changed.

This refreshes forms, contacts, customer names, and similar values.

Existing work orders stay unchanged, regardless of their current stage.

Delete contract

Avoid Delete contract when possible.

Deleting removes the contract, its work orders, notes, and related data.

Open the contract

Open the contract from the contract overview or a linked record.

Choose the action

Open the tab you need or choose the action you want to run.

Confirm the changes

Save the edit or confirm the selected action.

Customize the contract overview

You can change the columns in the overview.

Click the wrench icon in the top right.

Then you can:

  • show or hide fields

  • drag columns into a new order

  • rename a column with the pencil icon

  • reset the layout with Reset Configuration

Frequently asked questions

Can I delete a contract with completed work orders?

No.

Use termination instead when work has already been completed or settled.

What is the difference between restart and terminate?

Renew creates a continued contract period.

Terminate ends the current contract early.

When should I use Refresh data contract?

Use it after updating linked forms or customer-related data.

Can I see the work orders created from a contract?

Yes.

Open the contract to review its generated work orders.
