Set days in advance

Control how long before the scheduled date a contract work order should be created.

Days in advance controls how early a contract work order is created.

This gives planners time to assign the work before the deadline.

How it works

The recurring schedule sets the target date.

Days in advance sets how many days earlier the work order is created.

Example:

• scheduled date: the 15th of the month
• days in advance: 15
• creation date: the 1st of the month

If you set the value to 0, the work order is created on the scheduled date.

This setting applies to preventive contracts.

Corrective contracts use SLA timing instead.

Open the contract

Create a new contract or edit an existing one.

Find the field

Locate Days in advance in the contract details.

Enter the value

Add the number of days you want between creation and the scheduled date.

Save the contract

Click Save.

Future work order generation uses the new timing.

Can I change days in advance later?

Yes.

The new value affects future generated work orders.

Is 0 allowed?

Yes.

The work order is then created on the scheduled date itself.

Does this apply to corrective contracts?

No.
