Create an invoice layout

Control what the invoice PDF shows and how it looks.

An invoice layout controls the visual output of the invoice PDF.

Use it to decide which information appears and how the document is structured.

1

Open the invoice settings

Go to Invoices.

Then click the cogwheels in the top right.

2

Add a new layout

In the Layout section, click Add.

3

Name the layout

Give the layout a clear name.

It is easiest when the layout name matches the scheme name.

4

Choose PDF options

Decide whether attachments should be embedded in the PDF.

Also decide whether the work order PDF should be included.

5

Configure the content

Review the default parameters.

Add extra parameters if needed.

Then choose which columns should appear.

6

Add optional output details

Turn on Show note as line if item notes should appear as separate lines.

Add a header or footer if needed.

7

Save the layout

Click Save in the top right.
