Add item translations

Show item descriptions in the customer's language on quotations, invoices, and work orders.

Use item translations when customers receive documents in different languages.

Translations replace the item description on PDFs. The original description stays unchanged in BackOffice and the app.

When translations are useful

Use translations when:

  • you serve customers in multiple countries

  • item descriptions must appear in the customer's language

  • you want one catalog for all regions

How translations are used

The translated description appears on customer PDFs when the customer language matches the item translation.

This is most useful for quotations and invoices. It also applies to work orders when the document uses that customer language.

The app still shows the original item description.

Frequently asked questions

Does a translated item also change the app language?

No. Employees still see the original item description in the app.

Does the customer language translate the full PDF automatically?

No. The PDF layout must also exist in that language.

Can I add translations later?

Yes. You can add translations to existing items at any time.
