Control item visibility and billing

Decide whether items appear on customer documents and whether they count toward invoicing.

Each item can have separate Visible and Billable settings.

These settings let you control what customers see and what gets charged.

What Visible controls

When Visible is enabled, the item can appear on work order, quotation, and invoice PDFs.

When it is disabled, the item can still be used internally without showing on the customer document.

What Billable controls

When Billable is enabled, the item can contribute to invoice lines and totals.

When it is disabled, the item can still be registered without charging the customer for it.

• internal consumables
• included materials
• items you want to track but not charge separately
