Add objects to forms

Link an object to a form so the form result stays attached to the right asset.

You can link an object to a form inside a work order.

This is useful when one work order includes multiple objects and each object needs its own form result.

Why this matters

When a form is linked to an object:

• technicians know which asset the form belongs to
• object details can appear on the form
• the completed form becomes part of the object history

Link an object to a form in the app

Open the work order

Open the work order in the mobile app.

Open Forms

Go to Forms.

Open the form you want to complete.

Select the object

Tap Object code.

Choose the right object from the list.

Complete the form

Fill in the form and save it.

Open the work order

Open the work order in the BackOffice.

Open Forms

Go to the Forms section.

Edit the form link

Click Edit.

Select the right object.

Save the change

Click Save.

Make object selection required

If technicians must always select an object, enable Object Required in:

Settings → Forms → [your form] → Advanced Settings

Can I make object selection mandatory on a form?

Yes.

Is the completed form stored in the object history?

Yes.

The form stays linked to the selected object.

Can I select objects in both the app and BackOffice?
