Add objects to work orders

Link existing objects to a work order so technicians see the right asset information.

Linking objects to a work order shows technicians which asset they need to work on.

It also keeps the object history connected to the performed work.

Add objects in the BackOffice

1

Open the work order

Create a new work order or open an existing one.

2

Open the objects section

Go to Objects.

3

Select the object

Click Select an option.

Choose one or more objects from the list.

4

Save the work order

Click Save.

What the object list shows

If the work order already has a customer, you only see objects for that customer.

If no customer is selected yet, you see objects from all customers.

You can search or filter the list to find the right object faster.

Add objects later in the app

If the object was not linked during planning, the technician can still add it in the mobile app.

That depends on your app settings.

Frequently asked questions

Does the selected customer affect the object list?

Yes.

When a customer is already selected, the list is filtered to that customer's objects.

Can technicians add objects from the app?

Yes.

That depends on whether object editing is enabled in the app settings.
