Generate object QR codes

Generate a QR code for an object so technicians can find it faster in the field.

You can generate a QR code for an object and attach it to the physical asset.

Technicians can scan the code to open the right object faster in the field.

What technicians can do with the QR code

After scanning, technicians can:

• start a new work order for the object
• add the object to an existing work order
• link the object to a form

Object QR codes are available from Accelerate and above.

Generate the QR code

Open the object

Go to BackOffice → Objects.

Open the object you want to use.

Check the serial number

Make sure the object has a serial number.

If not, click Edit and add one first.

Open the QR code

Find the QR icon next to the serial number.

Click it to open the code.

Download the QR code

Download the QR code and print it if needed.

Frequently asked questions

Does the object need a serial number first?

Yes.

Without a serial number, you cannot generate the QR code.

Can every package use object QR codes?

No.

This is available from Accelerate and above.

Can the QR code be printed and attached to the asset?

Yes.

That is the main use case.
