Use object templates

Create reusable object templates to speed up object creation and keep data consistent.

Object templates help you create similar objects faster.

Use them when several fields stay the same across many installations.

When templates help

Templates are useful when you often register the same:

  • brand

  • model

  • type

  • standard object details

A template fills in the starting values.

You can still edit the new object after that.

Open Objects

Go to BackOffice → Objects.

2

Start a new object

Click Add.

3

Fill in the standard values

Add the fields you want every similar object to start with.

Examples include brand, model, and type.

4

Mark it as a template

Scroll down.

Enable the Template option.

Enter a template name.
