Use day parts in scheduling

Create day parts and use them as preferred planning windows on work orders.

Day parts let you define preferred planning windows like morning, afternoon, or a specific weekday.

They help planners schedule work inside the right time range.

Create the day parts first

Before you can use day parts on a work order, create the available options in settings.

1

Open the day parts setup

Go to Settings and search for Day parts.

2

Add a day part

Click Add.

3

Fill in the day part details

Add a unique code, a name, and a description.

Then set the start time, end time, sequence number, and the days this day part applies to.

4

Save the day part

Save the record.

Repeat this for each day part you need.

Use day parts on a work order

When you create or edit a work order, add the preferred day part in the left column.

Use the + button to add the selected day part to the work order.

You can also add a preferred date or preferred start and end time when your process needs more detail.
