Assign multiple employees to a work order

Choose between shadow planning and separate work orders for the same job.

Use this when more than one employee goes to the same job.

Choose the setup based on how the team should register work.

Shadow planning

Use shadow planning when one employee is responsible for the full registration.

Other employees see the job, but only the main employee registers hours, materials, and notes.

Separate work orders

Use separate work orders when each employee must register their own work.

Each employee gets a separate work order for the same job.

Open the work order

Create a new work order or edit an existing one.

Open the employee tab

Choose the main employee first.

Choose the planning method

Select Several employees, 1 device only or Group members, 1 device only for shadow planning.

Select Multiple devices (multiple work order) for separate work orders.

Select the extra employees

Add the other employees who need to join the job.

Save the work order

The job now appears for the selected employees.

What changes in the Scheduler

With shadow planning, the main work order keeps the normal color.

Shadow orders appear with a grey grid.

With separate work orders, each employee gets their own regular work order.
