What is Cash?

Cash connects OutSmart with your Cash administration.
It reduces double entry between field work and ERP.
What you do with Cash
import customers, materials, hour types, employees, and warehouses into OutSmart
export completed work orders to Cash as sales orders
create missing customers and articles in Cash during export when needed
What syncs between both systems
With Cash in OutSmart, you can:
import relations into customers
import materials from Cash article types A, M, E, and S
import hour types from Cash article type K
import warehouses and employees
export completed work orders as sales orders
How the connection works
The connection uses a dedicated API user from your Cash environment.
You enter the relation code, email address, and password in OutSmart.
OutSmart stores these credentials and uses them to communicate with Cash.
Sync frequency
The sync runs automatically every 15 minutes.
You can also start a manual sync from the Cash settings page.
What you need first
Before you start, make sure you have:
access to Settings → Software integrations
an active Cash integration license in the License Manager
a Cash account with an administration you can access
a dedicated API user in Cash
your relation code, API user email address, and password
Important to know
Cash is the leading system for customer and article data.
Changes to relations and materials in OutSmart can be overwritten by a manual sync.
Make customer and article changes in Cash.
The integration connects to one administration at a time.
Employees are imported only during a manual sync.
Materials and hour types are retrieved in one shared import operation.

A manual sync can overwrite changes made to these records in OutSmart.
How the process works
Activate the integration.
Create a Cash API user.
Enter the login details in OutSmart.
Choose the administration.
Configure imports and exports.
Save the setup.
