Set up Gripp

Connect OutSmart to your Gripp account with your API key and prepare the first sync.

Connect OutSmart to Gripp before you configure imports or exports.

You need a valid Gripp API key.

Activate the integration

Open the License Manager.

Activate the Gripp integration first.

Open Software integrations

Go to Settings → General → Software integrations.

Open Gripp.

Open Settings.

Find your API key in Gripp

Open your Gripp account settings.

Use the manual link on the Gripp login screen if needed.

Enter the API key

Paste the Gripp API key into the login field.

Then click Submit.

Verify the connection

If the key is valid, the Gripp settings page opens.

If not, OutSmart shows an error.

Set the sync frequency

In General settings, choose 15, 30, or 60 minutes.

Configure imports and exports

Choose the import and export options that fit your process.

You can adjust them later.

Save the setup

Click Save.

OutSmart stores the connection and settings.

What happens after you save

After saving, OutSmart registers webhooks in Gripp.

This lets new companies, contacts, employees, projects, and tasks sync sooner.

The log panel on the right shows recent sync activity.

Before you go live

Check these points first:

the API key is valid
the sync frequency matches your process
required fields in Gripp are filled in
materials and hour types used on work orders already exist in Gripp

Read the Gripp manual before you go live.

Imports can fail when required source fields are missing.

Exports can fail when materials or hour types are unknown in Gripp.

Disconnecting stops the sync.

Existing data in OutSmart stays in place.

How do I know the connection works?

After login, the settings page loads.
