Set up King

Connect OutSmart to your King account, choose the administration, and save the integration settings.

Connect OutSmart to King before you configure imports or exports.

You need a valid API token from King.

Request a King API token

Request an API token from King.

You can do this through King support or your King account settings.

Use the King API connection manual on the settings page if you need the exact steps.

Open Software integrations

Go to Settings → Software integrations.

Open King.

Open Settings.

Open the King login screen

If the integration is not connected yet, the login screen appears.

It asks for your King API token.

Enter the API token

Paste the token into the field.

Click Connect.

Check the connection

If the token is valid, OutSmart opens the King settings.

You can then choose an administration.

Choose the administration

Under General settings, select the Administration you want to sync.

This decides which King company OutSmart uses.

Configure imports and exports

Choose which data should move into OutSmart.

Then choose how completed work orders should move out to King.

Save the setup

Click Save.

Your connection and settings are then stored.

Before you save

Check these points first:

• the selected administration is the correct one
• the API token is complete and still active
• the King settings page loads without an API error
• the import and export options match your process

If your token expires or is regenerated, update it from General settings with the token refresh link.

Where do I get the API token?

How do I know the connection works?

After you connect, OutSmart shows the available administrations.

The log panel on the right side also shows recent sync activity.

What happens if I disconnect the integration?

The sync stops.

Existing data in OutSmart stays in place.

No new data syncs until you reconnect.

I get “Token Invalid - Unauthorized”. What should I do?

Check whether you copied the full token correctly.

If the error stays, request a new token from King and try again.

I get “King API service unavailable”. What should I do?

The King API is temporarily unavailable.

Wait a moment and try again.

If the problem keeps returning, contact King support.

How do I update the token later?

Open the King settings.

Use the token refresh link in General settings.

Enter the new token and save.
