Configure MoneyBird imports

Choose which contacts, products, and hour types OutSmart imports from MoneyBird.

Use the import settings to decide which data OutSmart brings in from MoneyBird.

You can enable each import separately.

You can also start a manual import for each data type.

What you can import

• Contacts into customers
• Products into materials
• Hour types from a selected MoneyBird category

Open the MoneyBird settings

Go to Settings → General → Software integrations.

Open MoneyBird.

Open the synchronization settings

Find the Synchronization settings section.

Open Contacts, Products, or Hourtypes.

Configure Contacts

Enable Import under Contacts.

Use the date filter if you only want contacts created or updated since a specific date.

Leave the date empty to import all contacts.

Use Import next to Contacts to start a manual import.

Configure Products

Enable Import under Products.

Enable VAT codes if you also want to import the VAT codes linked to those products.

Use Import next to Products to start a manual import.

Configure Hour types

Enable Import under Hourtypes.

Select the Category that contains the MoneyBird products you use as hour types.

Save the import setup

Click Save.

Your import settings are then stored.

How imports behave

• existing contacts update with the latest data from MoneyBird
• product import brings in all products from MoneyBird
• hour type import depends on the category you select

Frequently asked questions

What is the contact date filter for?

It limits the import to contacts created or changed since that date.

This is useful in large administrations.

What happens if a contact already exists in OutSmart?

OutSmart updates the existing contact with the latest data from MoneyBird.

Can I import only some products?

No.

The import brings in all products from MoneyBird.

You can manage which items stay active in OutSmart afterward.
