Import routes and hours from TrackJack

Import trips, travel time, and parked hours from TrackJack into OutSmart.

Use TrackJack to import driving routes and hours into OutSmart.

OutSmart turns this data into trip and hour registrations.

What you can import

When Routes and hours is enabled, OutSmart can import:

• Book routes on trips — each route becomes a travel registration
• Book routes on hours — each route duration becomes an hour registration
• Book parked hours on hours — parked time between routes becomes a working hour registration

How the route import works

A trip registration can include:

• start and end location
• start and end time
• distance
• the vehicle license plate in the description

A route marked as private in TrackJack imports as a private travel registration in OutSmart.

OutSmart prevents duplicates.

If a route is already imported, it is not imported again.

What you need first

Before you import routes and hours, make sure:

• the TrackJack connection is active
• Vehicles are imported
• drivers are linked to employees
• the correct hour types are selected

Open the TrackJack settings

Go to Settings → General → Software integrations.

Open TrackJack.

Enable Routes and hours

Turn on Routes and hours.

This unlocks the related import options.

Choose the route and hour options

Select the options you want to use:

• Book routes on trips
• Book routes on hours
• Book parked hours on hours

Choose the hour types

Set these fields:

• Default travel hour type for driving time
• Standard working hours for parked time

Save the settings

Click Save.

The new options are then active.

Run or review the sync

Wait for the next automatic sync.

Or click Sync to start one immediately.

Check the log

Open the Log section.

Review how many trips or hours were added.

Important to know

• The automatic sync runs every 15 minutes.
• Route and hour data can be processed with a delay.
• The import starts from the Synchronisation date.
• Routes with zero business kilometres can be skipped.

Frequently asked questions

How far back does the import go?

The import starts from the Synchronisation date in the settings.

Older data stays outside the import scope.

Why is a route missing?

Check whether the driver is linked to an OutSmart employee.

Also check whether vehicles were imported first.

Then review the log for skipped entries.

Can I start the route import manually?

Yes.

Click Sync in the TrackJack settings.

Are private kilometres imported?

Yes.

Private routes import as private travel registrations.

What does "No locations for import" mean?

No new location data was available during that sync.

This message is informational.

It is not an error.
