Link TrackJack drivers to employees

Map TrackJack drivers to OutSmart employees so routes and hours book correctly.

Link each TrackJack driver to the right OutSmart employee.

This lets OutSmart assign routes and hours to the correct person.

Why driver linking matters

TrackJack uses its own driver records.

OutSmart uses employee records.

OutSmart only imports routes and hours when it can match the TrackJack driver to an OutSmart employee.

1

Open the TrackJack settings

Go to Settings → General → Software integrations.

Open TrackJack.

2

Click Link drivers.

This opens the driver mapping window.

3

Add a new mapping

Click the plus button.

A new row appears in the mapping table.

4

Choose the employee and driver

Select the OutSmart employee on one side.

Select the matching TrackJack driver on the other side.

5

Repeat for all drivers

Add one mapping row per driver.

Repeat until all required drivers are linked.

6

Save the mapping

Click Save.

The mapping is then used during sync.

Before you start

Make sure these conditions are met:

  • the driver already exists in TrackJack

  • the employee already exists in OutSmart

  • the TrackJack connection is active

Frequently asked questions

What happens if a driver is not linked?

OutSmart cannot assign the route or hour entry.

That data is skipped.

Can one employee be linked to multiple TrackJack drivers?

Avoid that setup.

Use one employee per driver when possible.

This prevents duplicate or confusing registrations.

Do I need to change the mapping when a driver changes vehicle?

No.

The mapping is based on the driver.

It is not based on the vehicle.

What should I do when a new driver appears in TrackJack?

Create the employee in OutSmart if needed.

Then add a new mapping row for that driver.
