# Introduction to 2BA

**2BA** is a product database for technical items in the installation industry.

With the integration in OutSmart, you search external item data directly while you work in calculations, quotations, and invoices.

### What you do with 2BA

* search by product name, description, code, or GTIN
* compare suppliers, availability, and prices
* add items to your process without creating them manually first

### Where you use 2BA

You use 2BA while adding items in:

* **calculations**
* **quotations**
* **invoices**

{% hint style="info" %}
The search flow is the same in all these modules.
{% endhint %}

### What you need first

* an active **2BA integration** in OutSmart
* a valid **2BA account**
* access to the module where you add items

### How the process works

1. Activate 2BA.
2. Configure your 2BA login details.
3. Search for the right product.
4. Compare suppliers, stock, and prices.
5. Import the item into your document.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://knowledge.out-smart.com/marketplace-packages-and-power-ups/power-ups/2ba/introduction-to-2ba.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
