# Configure cylinders

Cylinders are the stock containers used in your refrigerant process.

A good cylinder setup improves traceability and stock accuracy.

### What to register per cylinder

* a unique identifier
* the refrigerant type
* a clear description
* the current stock level

### Open cylinder setup

Go to the cylinder step in KoudSmart.

### Add the cylinder details

Enter the identifier, description, refrigerant, and stock.

### Repeat for other cylinders

Add every cylinder that belongs in the reporting flow.
