What are resources?

Understand what resources are and how they differ from objects.

Resources are internal equipment that belongs to your own company.

Use them for equipment you plan, track, and assign to work.

Examples include:

• trailers
• vehicles
• cranes
• tools
• measuring equipment

Resources versus objects

Objects usually belong to customer locations or installations.

Resources belong to your own organization.

Resources are marked as internal.

This means they:

• do not appear in the customer object overview
• are managed in the BackOffice
• can be planned in the Scheduler
• can be linked to work orders

When to use resources

Use resources when you need to:

• track internal equipment
• plan availability
• avoid scheduling conflicts
• charge equipment usage
