# Begrijp het verschil tussen opnieuw starten en verlengen van Contracten

Opnieuw starten en verlengen zetten beide een serviceovereenkomst voort.

Ze werken niet op dezelfde manier.

### Een contract opnieuw starten

Gebruik **Contract opnieuw starten** wanneer de huidige contractperiode eindigt en het contract niet automatisch wordt verlengd.

Hiermee wordt een nieuw contract met dezelfde voorwaarden aangemaakt.

### Een contract verlengen

Verlenging hangt af van de geselecteerde contractvoorwaarden.

Wanneer de voorwaarden automatische verlenging toestaan, kan OutSmart de overeenkomst automatisch voortzetten wanneer de einddatum is bereikt.

### Hoe kiest u de juiste aanpak

Gebruik **opnieuw starten** wanneer u aan het einde van de periode handmatige controle wilt.

Gebruik **verlenging** wanneer de overeenkomst automatisch moet doorgaan op basis van de Instellingen voor de termijn.
