# Maak certificaattypes aan

Certificatietypen definiëren de certificaten waarmee uw organisatie werkt.

Voorbeelden zijn onder meer **VCA**, **Eerste Hulp**, of **Elektrische veiligheid**.

### Wat een certificaattype bevat

Een certificaattype heeft meestal:

* een unieke **Code**
* een duidelijke **Naam**

U maakt certificaattypen voordat u certificaten aan Medewerkers toewijst.

### Open Certificaten

Ga naar **HRM → Certificaten** in de BackOffice.

### Voeg een nieuw type toe

Klik **Toevoegen** of **Maken**.

### Vul de velden in

Voer een unieke in **Code**.

Voer een duidelijke **Naam**.

### Sla het type op

Klik **Opslaan**.

Het type is nu beschikbaar voor toewijzingen aan Medewerkers.

### Praktische tips

* Houd codes kort en consistent.
* Gebruik namen die Medewerkers herkennen.
* Vermijd het wijzigen van codes na gebruik.
