# Entender o estado do contrato

O Estado do Contrato baseia-se nas datas do Contrato e no estado de cancelamento.

Isto decide se o Contrato está ativo para geração.

### Quando um Contrato está ativo

Um Contrato está ativo quando já começou e não terminou nem foi cancelado.

Um Contrato está inativo quando ainda não começou, terminou ou foi cancelado.

### Por que o Estado é importante

Somente Contratos ativos podem continuar a gerar trabalho futuro de acordo com a sua configuração.

Contratos inativos permanecem disponíveis para histórico e referência.
